Academic Study Shows Scholarship Students Getting a Quality Education

The Department of Revenue released the first study showing academic achievement among Alabama Scholarship Program students. The study was conducted by the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) at the University of Alabama.

“We are thrilled to see the process has begun to accumulate data to determine the academic achievement of the students enrolled in the scholarship program,” said Chad Mathis, State Chairman of the Alabama Federation for Children. “Test scores are an important indicator of success, but the best indicator is a child’s growth, long term achievement and attainment and we remain committed to protecting a parent’s right to choose the best school for their child.”
