The American Federation for Children, the nation’s voice for educational choice, applauds Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval for including funding in his budget for the Nevada Education Savings Account program (ESAs).
The Governor’s budget would provide $25 million this year for the ESA program and $35 million for the program next year. The Governor also recommended additional funding for other K-12 programs in Nevada.
“Governor Sandoval has fostered an environment in his state where the emphasis will be placed on educating K-12 students in a way that best fits their needs,” said Kevin P. Chavous, AFC board member. “Every student in our country should be able to access a world class education, and Gov. Sandoval is committed to that vision for every child in Nevada.”
