LFC congratulates Dr. RaeNell Houston on being named superintendent of Archdiocese of New Orleans Catholic schools

The Louisiana Federation for Children, the state’s voice for educational choice, congratulates Dr. RaeNell Houston, who was named Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

“In her role as Associate Superintendent of Catholic Schools, Dr. Houston demonstrated an unwavering commitment to low income families, including those who participate in the Louisiana Scholarship Program,” said Ann Duplessis, President of the Louisiana Federation for Children.

“Our congratulations to Dr. Houston, who becomes the first African-American to lead the Archdiocese of New Orleans schools. I look forward to working with Dr. Houston to provide Southeast Louisiana’s children access to quality education.”
