Good Morning

Our thoughts and prayers this morning are with those impacted by yesterday’s tornado outbreak. Several schools are closed today in New Orleans East, one of the hardest hit areas.

LFC congratulates Betsy DeVos who was confirmed and sworn in yesterday as U.S. Secretary of Education. LFC President Ann Duplessis describes this as “an unprecedented opportunity in our nation’s history to make good on decades of unfulfilled promises to our children.”

Ann Duplessis comments on DeVos’ confirmation in The Advocate and Louisiana Radio Network stories.

Have a great day! – Paul
