High school senior says college is in her future

Destiny Gautreaux is a senior at Lutheran High School in Metairie. She enrolled as freshman with her sister Dawn. Both are recipients of scholarships from the Louisiana Scholarship Program. 

Destiny’s younger brother Ryan, a third grader at Our Lady of Prompt Succor School in Westwego, also participates in the scholarship program.

Destiny says attending Lutheran has opened the door to options she would never have considered if she had remained in public school.   

“Before Lutheran I never thought I would go to a four-year college. Now thanks to Lutheran’s great teachers and the scholarship program, I know that I will go to college,” said Destiny.
