Lutheran High School valedictorian Jessica Waddell thanks her mother who insisted she enroll at Lutheran High School. Jessica is Lutheran’s 2016 valedictorian and joins 10 graduates who participated in the Louisiana Scholarship Program.
Jessica fought her mother Claudia’s decision to apply for the Louisiana Scholarship Program. “I wanted to stay in public school with my friends,” said Jessica.
Four years later, Jessica is thankful for her mother’s steadfastness that she attend Lutheran High School. “Momma, this is the best decision you’ve ever made. Thank you so much for never changing your mind.”
Jessica has received a scholarship to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she will major in biology. She is looking forward to becoming a veterinarian.
