The 2017-2018 Guidebook is Here!

We’re excited to announce the release of AFC’s 2017-2018 School Choice Guidebook.

The purpose of this book is to provide actionable information to help stakeholders advocate for strong school choice policies nationwide.

To that end, the Guidebook has three exciting features:

  • Scores and rankings for tax credit scholarship, education savings account, and voucher programs
  • Easy-to-read graphics that provide helpful information about the school choice movement nationwide
  • A gorgeous landing page – schoolchoiceguidebook.com– that let’s you navigate directly to specific sections of the Guidebook

We hope the Guidebook will help you and your colleagues quickly access information about the country’s 54 private school choice programs and, ultimately, help us all advocate for new and improved private school choice policies in 2019.

Here are a few graphics that highlight national data about private school choice programs – please feel free to share them on Facebook and Twitter!

And here are AFC’s rankings for the country’s top five voucher and tax credit scholarship programs (note that AFC did not score programs that solely serve students with special needs, but there is plenty of information about these programs in the Guidebook program pages).

In the coming weeks, AFC will feature several blogs that dive into the Guidebook’s scoring and rankings and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of a number of private school choice programs.

Until then, please check out www.schoolchoiceguidebook.com and feel free to reach out to me with any Guidebook questions – hfaulkner@federationforchildren.org.

Happy reading!
